Sadly West Tytherley Parish Council has become inquorate and therefore unable to undertake its business, due to only three people standing for the eight seats on the Council in May and the subsequent resignation of one of those elected in May.
A Parish Council generally needs to have three members to operate and if there aren't enough councillors the Borough Council appoints a borough councillor temporarily to the Parish to ensure that the election or appointment of new councillors is undertaken by a quorate body.
My colleague Stewart MacDonald who is one of the borough councillors for Mid Test has agreed to step in until the new councillors have taken up office, at which point he will step down.
