New Source: Hampshire County Council
It’s one year on since ‘Natasha’s Law’ was introduced which requires businesses that make and sell pre-packed food to provide clearer information about allergens such as nuts or dairy. This is supporting consumer confidence when making food choices, and helping to prevent serious allergic reactions and save lives.
Hampshire County Council Trading Standards Service carries out regular spot checks to ensure that local businesses are complying with these safety standards and helps new businesses understand their responsibilities.
All food businesses must register with their local district authority so they can receive support and guidance around their legal responsibilities and our Trading Standards team provides regular updates for businesses: https://www.hants.gov.uk/.../tradingstandards/businessadvice

Please contact Citizen’s Advice to report any concerns about food labelling https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/.../report-to-trading.../
