In case of further heavy rain Hampshire County Council’s highways teams have been clearing drains and gullies to do all we can to avoid flooding. We can’t do every single spot I’m afraid, but we can ensure the most at risk locations are covered. Good to see it includes local parishes this week
Alongside their routine all year round drainage cleansing, Hampshire Highways have been undertaking additional checks in priority areas this winter.
Yesterday they were out removing debris from drains in:
Chawton
Cheriton
East Tisted
Hursley
Littleton and Harestock
Vernham Dean
West Meon
West Tisted
On Tuesday they were at
Cheriton
Compton and Shawford
Kings Worthy
Linkenholt
Littleton and Harestock
Mottisfont
Vernham Dean
West Tytherley
And on Monday at
Hursley
Hurstbourne Tarrant
Kempshott & Buckskin
Littleton and Harestock
South Ham
Vernham Dean
