Apply for a LoCASE grant
LoCASE is a grant funding programme providing grants for small and medium-sized businesses, social enterprises and charities to make businesses greener.
This can range from launching new ecologically friendly products, processes or services, developing a green business or reducing environmental impact through energy efficiency measures like LED lighting upgrades, solar panels or air source heat pump installation and other resource saving projects.
The LoCASE grant limit has gone up to £20,000. The minimum grant remains at £1,000 and covers up to 40% of eligible costs. Grants are calculated on the basis of CO2 savings and additional impacts of projects.
The higher grant limit should help businesses look at higher value projects, which have normally got longer returns on investment. This will enable businesses to invest to improve their carbon footprint and cut their energy costs at a time when energy prices are a major concern.
