I've spent my day in lovely Lee on the Solent, with the local Hampshire County Councillor, Graham Burgess, the Leader of the County Council Councillor Rob Humby and my colleagues Cllr Jan Warwick and Councillor Steve Forster.
As well as some highway issues we also looked at the Lee on the Solent library, now taken over by the community and used for both its original purpose and as a community hub. The excellent community centre and the wonderful buildings on the Daedalus site soon to be renovated for housing.
We also took time to talk to the organisers of the Summer Sounds festival, which was in full swing on the seafront.
Graham's clearly at the heart of the community in Lee, that was apparent just from the number of people who stopped and talked to him as we went about. He's certainly brought about fantastic changes for his community.
