I have tonight asked Southern Water to establish a bottled water station in Bassett for residents there without water.
The park and ride at Winchester is far too far away. Vulnerable customers can contact them on 0330 303 0368 to be added to their priority services register but we need accessible supplies in the City.

We now have three bottled water stations open at:
• Places Leisure, Eastleigh, Passfield Avenue, SO50 0NL
• South Winchester Park and Ride, SO21 2FG
• East Winchester Park and Ride, in Garnier Road, SO23 9NP
We’re continuing to deliver bottled water to our most vulnerable customers. If you know of customers that require access to bottled water as a priority, they can sign up to our Priority Services Register and we’ll add them to the list of emergency deliveries. Please call us on 0330 303 0368.
We are currently facing significant pressure on our water supply in parts of Hampshire, caused by a combination of factors including leaks resulting from the recent ‘freeze/thaw’ event.
This has meant demand for water is outstripping the ability of our water treatment sites to keep taps running.
We are working as hard as we can to solve this issue, tackling leaks and stabilising supply, but we must also make difficult decisions to reduce demand – in order to protect critical Hampshire infrastructure like hospitals.
This is why we unfortunately have to restrict water supplies to some customers in the Southampton, Eastleigh, Hedge End, and Chandler's Ford areas of Hampshire, for a period of at least 48 hours (currently in postcode areas SO15, SO16, SO18, SO19, SO21, SO22, SO30, SO31, SO50, SO51, SO52, SO53).
Over the course of this afternoon, customers in these areas can expect to see reduced water pressure or loss of water. We will be supporting vulnerable customers with bottled water deliveries.
