Our Highways teams are ready to keep Hampshire’s road network clear as a Yellow weather warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office for tomorrow, Wednesday 20 July, between 1pm and 9pm.
Drivers are asked to be mindful of possible difficult driving conditions such as surface water spray and local surface water flooding. The Yellow weather warning could also see lightning damage to structures and infrastructure which could lead to power outages.
Teams will be on standby to deal with excess surface water, flooded roads or tree debris; as well as additional equipment ready to deploy to protect our highways. Our teams will do all they can to keep the roads clear.
