I've been asked by many people if I can get an idea of when the different sections of the A3057 between Romsey and Kings Somborne will be closed overnight in the next four weeks while work is carried out.
I've been able to obtain a rough indication of when work will be undertaken. I must stress, these dates are open to change based upon weather, unexpected additional works and other factors.
The closures are overnight from 8pm to 6am on weeknights only. There are no planned closures on weekends, but these might become necessary later in the scheme if it falls behind.
This week (Monday 18th July - 22nd July)
Work concentrated on the section from the junction with Mesh Road through Brook to just south of the junction with the northern end of Horsebridge Road.
Monday 25th July to Wednesday 3rd August
Work on the section through Timsbury, from Yokesford Hill to just north of the Goat. There is a contingency for weekend working if this is required, on the weekend of 30/31 July.
Thursday 4th August to Wednesday 17th August
Work on the section from the northern end of Horsebridge Road through Kings Somborne to the junction with Cox Drove Hill. Again weekend working may be necessary dependent on progress.
Monday 8th August there will be traffic lights on the stretch through Timsbury, from Yokesford Hill to New Road.
Thursday 18th and Friday 19th August.
Final works between Greatbridge and Yokesford Hill.
Work to section between New Road and Mesh Road has already been completed.
I hope that helps.
