This week in Parliament, I met Cath Pickles the CEO of Restitute, a charity supporting third party victims of crime - the parents, carers, partners, siblings and loved ones of people who have survived sexual violence or other serious violence.
Today we mark White Ribbon Day, and my meeting on Tuesday was a timely reminder of the lasting impacts of male violence against women and girls.
Restitute is working to raise awareness and challenge the "blame and shame" culture, where all too often blame is cast at the door of victims and their families.
