That chubby old bloke is out and about again...this time planting trees.
Hampshire Highways are planting trees across Hampshire on appropriate highway land, verges, roundabouts and as in this case the central reservation on the A30 west of Stockbridge. By doing so we add to our target of 1 million new trees across the County.
By increasing tree cover we are tackling climate change, aiding biodiversity and reinforcing native species. All the whips planted are sourced locally in Hampshire, so we are also supporting the county's businesses.
Look out for news on re-wilding verges closer to the summer too.
